Thoughts on buying a Frankenstein Bass?

If I can see / hold it first.... I'd do it..... If not, the problem is you don't really know why they're holding these parts in the first place. The neck came off an X about 3 years ago and it's been sitting in the closet. But it's not twisted too bad. So Jethro thinks he can make a parts bass out of it..... and he can. Yeah, admittedly thats a fabrication of my imagination. But think about it.... who has a NICE neck thats extra that they aren't using. And where'd you get the body? Did you take if off because it was ugly and you hated it (understandable) .... or was it a fat pig and made your bass weigh 10.8lbs?

Yea, y’all have convinced me to look elsewhere where. If he was closer to me I would love to check it out but he’s to far for that kind of drive. The want of a music man neck over shadowed the fact I don’t really want a 5 string bass. I would play it, had one in the past but that’s not what I am actively looking for.

Talking to the wife, I’m leaning pretty heavily towards a sire, just trying to figure out which one fits what I am looking for. P6, V6, V7 or a used Z7.
