Thoughts on the sterling ray 34?

The blue sparkle with the flame maple neck is probably a dream bass for me. Anyone have any experience with them? How close are they to a sting ray? Are they worth it? I’m asking cause I’ve got a bad case of g.a.s

I have a Ray34 sunburst with roasted neck. I played it side by side with it's American counterpart. Aside from some fit and finish differences, it played as well and sounded awesome. Tuners are cheaper but I've not had any problems with them. Bridge is great, sound was just like an EBMM RAY. Good bass. I strung it with flats at first but changed to TI jazz rounds. Match was perfect.

They can be great basses. But I would suggest you inspect thoroughly and try before you buy.

Sterling Ray34 Sparkle Basses... New for 2022... Unfortunate Situation...

They had a batch recently with some bad tuners. The tuners on my ray34hh are very stable though.
