Thread for people with join dates 2002 and older

I lived at home when I joined, now I'm married and have a kid.

Same here - I was 15 when I joined, still in high school, and obviously still at home. Now married, 2 kids, own my house, and still unable to consistently find 2-4 like minded musicians capable of jamming.

I'm waiting for my boys to grow up...hopefully one of them gets the musician bug and picks up the guitar...the other can just be a drummer.

How about those of us who have been members since then and have only posted one post? I spend my time lurking and reading.
Holy Jesus... in my years of foruming I've never seen a lurker account as pristine as that...

So folks, how was the forum and atmosphere different back then? Pardon my interruption but I request your elder wisdom.

So I guess one of the benefits of using yer real name is that if you give all yer basses away and pull yer user name and then you come to yer senses and get another bass and wanna come back and Fitzgerald says just to join again that he's not gonna reactivate yer old account and you figure it's probably wise not to argue you can dig up an ancient post to prove that you did in fact actually have that old account....that is if the subject ever comes up which it hasn't much.... No, really....I am a TB silverback.

Actually I think I first joined in 1999 but lost that account in the confusion of what I'd guess was the the first server change and being on the road and without an internet connection when it happened. That was back in the days when modems whistled and porn still loaded too slowly to be worth surfing.

I've been a member since 98, but changed emails and lost my password for my first screen name and joined up with my current name two years later.

Mostly been a lurker but not a week goes by without visiting. Was a member of the Fender forums until I saw a link to TB in the late 90's. Only online place I trust to sale/trade gear. Even won a free book and earplugs from Mike Dimin's forum years back. Memory lane here.

I've been here for awhile. I had to get a new account in 2000 after some glitch resulted in my account being deleted.

I tell you who I haven't seen in a long time - some of the other early day posters like..

Gabu
Biski2Dope
Dancehallchaslher
Peter Mcferrin
Jazzbo

I was new to internet forums back then, and Biski2Dope and PsychoBassGuy used to push my buttons like crazy!
