Thats what it looked like to me also. I am wondering why he would use it. Seems it would be a bit limiting. Maybe he has a savings plan, only buy 3 strings over a career of playing you could save about $247.32

I teched Phil Vasser's show here a couple months ago. Vilonist/ mandolinist had a mohawk (and bolo tie). Yes, I have lived long enough to see country musicians go from short hair, hating longhairs; to wearing long hair, to the mullet, and finally to spiked mohawks.

After doing some research I found that its a 2007 Glendal 3 string tele bass. Aden Bubeck is the player, seems to have a very extensive career.
