It's come to my home ! Just needed two 9v and was all good. Originals were in it and not corroded. I took the back plates off and tried to find reasons for a discount. My efforts did not avail. Other than running to the $ store for some batteries. $299 down to $289

Schecter Diamond Series / Stiletto 5 Session - $299 no case.
Looks brand new. Appears to MSRP $650 - $800
Thinking maybe grab it for fun. It's lighter than my BTB 765
Any thoughts from the community ? Also have a Washburn MB5 I am thinking of unloading.

Go for it. Hugely underrated basses.

I was not a fan of the Pups either. Changed out as well as the preamp. After that my Diamond Series Omen (5-er) was a rock machine. Played so well. Still in my arsenal. I thought the finish was excellent, and neck fit my hand well. Yet I'm currently not in a band playing bass.

If it’s a Session, it will probably have “real” EMG’s. Most likely a 40DC bridge, and 40J neck.

If that's the "stripped-down" Stiletto (cosmetically), then that's a FANFREAKINGTASTIC deal for a somewhat underrated bass (they sell quickly now in the GC classifieds). My Studio edition has the fancy flame maple look, but yours has the cool inlays. I'm pretty sure the construction and guts are the same. Btw, for those who think the HZ pickups are lame/"not the real thing", mine has them, as does the Session (even if they don't say "HZ" on the covers anymore), and they ROAR. All you have to do is turn up your gain and/or master volume level, and these basses sound almost as good as a Spector Euro I bought new a couple of years ago. I go direct at shows, turn the level up on my Zoom MS60B pedal, and simply run through a Hartke KB12 at rehearsals, and it sounds gooooood. People don't take enough time to eq, imo.

It's comfortable, strings are a little closer together and very new sounding. Otherwise pleased !
