Def a good deal, my first bass was a Stiletto Elite and I think the whole line gives you a lot for your money. That said, note the features on the Session models: they have bolt-on necks instead of neck-through like the studios and elites, and they are made of different woods. A lot of people are not fans of the Emg-hz pickups, I certainly wasn’t. but I still feel like I got a lot of bass for very little cash with Schecter and I’d buy another in the future.

Thank you all for the input. I think I'll bring the Washburn in and see what type of offer I get on it. Maybe an even trade seeing as I paid $350 for it almost 30 years ago with a matching hard case. Hoping to find a case there that'll fit the Schecter, but if the Washburn one will work then so be it.

Check out the Gator Thunderbird cases, they have that extra length to accomodate Tbirds, but arent molded to the body shape. Gig bag/ soft case/ hard case models availible, and they don't break the bank either.

I was not a fan of the Pups either. Changed out as well as the preamp. After that my Diamond Series Omen (5-er) was a rock machine. Played so well. Still in my arsenal. I thought the finish was excellent, and neck fit my hand well. Yet I'm currently not in a band playing bass.

Hints the “if the price is right” part. I’ve bought loaded bodies with no neck. Used some parts on other projects. Found usable necks and put together parts basses that play very well.
Of course, that all depends on what the buyer is willing to do and how much of a project they are willing to take on.

Apparently, your thrift store is much better stocked with music gear than the ones around me.
