While I have some minor issues to address, it's ready for strings! I had to use a temporary rubber washer on the B string because the original gold washer disappeared. These washers have been tough to find so far. I'm going to go to a good hardware store later this week and see if I can find one. I will get good pics up after the strings are on with a digital camera. This is a pic from the camera phone. Cheers TB'ers! -Luke Osborne

VS., happy that you have the bass up n running, Man my heart goes out to your tragedy. But no one was hurt TBTG. NEVER part with that bass..."from my cold dead hands" should be inscribed on him. You look so proud in the pic holding him, brings a tear when the story behind the pic is known. I know all musicians get attached to their axes and a loss can be painful, we're a weird bunch.

You should consider writing a brief history of him and slipping it into the electronics bay for the future generations to read!

Thank you for the kind words! I cannot part with this bass. That's one reason I put my signature on the headstock, as a small reminder that I can't give it up or my playing for that matter. This is my second flammed maple six string Cirrus. My first one was a '99 and was stolen and sold for heroin. (Not sure if I can post that Mods, apologies ahead of time.) Still trying to track it down. Year in and year out I'm tested and tried again and again. That's how I know I'm on the right track! To a wonderful 2011! Cheers TB'ers! -Luke

I almost lost my beloved Lakland to a car fire 6 years ago. She's cleaned up, but definitely still has some scars.

The bass is a part of me as I'm sure the Cirrus is a part of you now.

Great job cleaning her up, and I hope she will inspire you to move onward and upward in all of your affairs!
