thumb and finger only?

So I have found that I really feel comfortable playing with just my thumb and first finger. Although I've been working on my right hand fingering (first 2 fingers), it always feels awkward.

As soon as I switch over to thumb and first finger, I feel great! Sure the tone changes a bit - but it feels right.

Does anyone else do this?

Thanks

On both electric and DB, my thumb sounds great; round and expressive. But, it's awkward for me. No wonder Leo put those tug bars under the G string in the 50s and 60s.

In any case, if it doesn't hurt and you like doing it, there is no right or wrong - just do it.

I took up classical guitar about two years after I started playing bass. I went from picking with my first two fingers (i and m), to picking with my thumb and first finger (p and i). Nothing unusual about what you are doing and I would say go with what feels natural to you and what you like.
