Bought a alpine white epi classic Saturday.
They had a sunburst and the white .
The sunburst had a finish flaw on the back and a shallow cut nut.
The white finish appears perfect , nut was cut nicely , and the relief was dead flat with no buzzing . The action was a little high ,but I was able to lower that to Gibson factory specs and still have room to go.
Still had no fret buzz . I added just a tad relief ,about the same as a piece of printer paper .
I am blown away by the fit ,finish ,playability and overall feel of this instrument . Mine is a 2013 model that just showed up . Maybe some of the earlier issues reported have been corrected .
I have no complaints . Matter a fact ,I'm a fender freak, the epi really impressed me ,more so than a lot of fender products . I swear the fretwork may as well be pleked.
I thought about stating a NBD thread and photo the detail as such as action ,fretwork ,finish etc...
I couldn't be happier and am really impressed with this bass
