Hey Ainig,

I don't know what specific model that T-bird is, or what used basses go for in Greece, but here in Belgium used Epiphone T-birds are seen quite often, and mostly for around 200euros, sometimes 150, or less when they have some damage or whatever.

That one is a standard Epiphone Thunderbird IV. Bolt on neck and Epiphone TB Plus pickups. The Thunderbird Classic IV Pro is neck through and has Gibson USA TB Plus pickups.

Αinig, I am sorry but this isn't quite a good deal. Thomann sells the model on your link for 249€ new. You would still have to pay for shipping since it is less than 299€ (Items over that amount are shipped for free). It would be ok if you could bring the price a bit down, but this depends on the seller.

On the other hand, you can get the classic pro (a lot more features) from Thomann for 415€ with free shipping.

I know money is tight back home, but I would save up for the pro.

The bass pictures is a regular Epi Thunderbird IV with bolt-on neck and standard Epi pickups, that can bought online at www.thomann.de for €249 brand new - so he is overcharging (unless he includes the original Epi case).

The Epi Thunderbird Classic Pro-IV with neck-through and US Gibson pickups, usually retails for €419 at either www.thomann.de or www.musicstore.com and is a much nicer bass.

I have been looking at the new Thunderbirds as I have always wanted one. The other day I saw AMS had the older models on a closeout sale for $899. I called and asked and they told me that they were closing out the prior year models and were down to their last one and just wanted to move it. I made sure it was not a scratch and dent model and they reassured me it wasn't and that it was still new in the box. At that price I couldn't resist. I am very excited. I should have it sometime this week.

I know where you're coming from with the senility thing, I have a form of Alzheimer's... it's called Sometimers... sometimes I can remember what I'm supposed to be doing, sometimes I can't. It will eventually worsen until it becomes, as it is known as in medical circles, CRAFT disease... (Can't Remember A F***ing Thing).
