Hey guys. Hope you don't mind me asking: got a chance to pick up a natural (I guess. Not a burst but brown) 1998 Gibson Thunderbird with OHSC for $900 at my local guitar shop. He's hot 1199 on the tag but that's nuts (I think). He said since I'm a regular he'll do $900. It's worn, well played, nicks, scrapes, etc. Nothing dramatic or unexpected for a regularly played 15 year old bass.

Is that a fair price? Anything to look out for on a 1998? Anything I should know or check out?

Thanks in advance. Loved the bass not sure it's the right deal. (And I know "is it worth it to you?" Not what I'm looking for. ;) Just want to know the questions above.
Peace.

Seems kinda high for a beat up one. I always use ebay's sold listings for relative value: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sac...on+thunder+bird&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc
