How much do lull pups go for? I'd want to put them in the next bird i get for the nikki sixx replica project eventually-sometime-in-ten-years thx. Also, i'm gonna switch the pups in my epi goth bird for gibson bird pups. And move the neck pup a bit closer to the neck, as i think the epi and gibson neck pup distance is different. My dad said it might be due to the bolt on the epis have.

In fact, I'm enjoying it so much I am in a bit of a quandary. I play in 2 bands, one in standard tuning and one in D. Thus my basses are set up for one or the other. I honestly want to use it in both, so I'm kind of stuck!!!

TBIRD,thanks for that pickguard measurement.I thought i could buy one cheap til i looked on ebay.I'll cut my own.

They aren't difficult to make at all, I've made 3 for my collection.

As someone that enjoys both, women's clothing and Thunderbirds I like this pic. Nice bed cover and Thunderbird.

I saw a tutorial online once that showed how to use a pice of printed cloth to create a custom finish on a guitar, similar to what Fender does on the paisley telecasters and '51 P-basses. Maybe a "Bed Spread Bird" will be forthcoming?

I'm looking forward to buy a gibson thunderbird of 98. I tought it was a natural burst, but it appears that it has the mention "limited edition" in the back of the head.

Any info about this model? Fake or not? What is a limited edition?

OK here are a few more pics. Sorry for the poor quality. The more I play this bass, the more I like it. Its funny how people respond to it. Something about a 'Bird! I'm really liking these pups. They really capture that grindy tone I was going for. Now all I need is a SVT and 8X10...the B string is suprisingly tight! A real big full sound and pretty well balanced with the rest of the strings.

Very nice, I'm investigating and hoping these will fit in my Epi Pro 5.

I won't even bother to make a template i'll just cut it by hand. That fabric is alexander henry collection "hot wheels" 2003.I have about 11' of it if you want some of it for something just p.m. me.

You might drop Paul at Mike Lull an email, I'm pretty sure they'll sell just the covers - But the are of correct vintage dimensions, that is two screw holes and very shallow in depth,
They may not cover the sides of the pickup
