Thunderbird Club

All are superb, and as much as I have dreams about the Bling bird, the black BaCH is so clean, refined, classy and (I can't even think of the right word) looking.
Same bass my eye was drawn to:D
yep, definitely my fave..
The BaCH NR is quite a looker and plays pretty good as well (don’t like the chrome flats on it, will switch to EBCF some day). Of the bunch it and the VP next to it I’d classify as “Tuxedo basses”. If I were playing a wedding or formal event they would be the most likely candidates, followed closely by the white Greco.

This turned up on Facebook today. There was a video of several custom Spector basses and the pickup on this one caught by eye.

Interesting. I was planning on the Rotos to replace the Fender rounds on the VP, and try Cobalt flats on the BaCH. A Thunderbucker is certainly in the hunt to replace the stock pup. Which Thunderbucker would most closely mimic an original vintage NR Tbird II, and what pot and cap values did those basses have back then?

Come to think of it, when the NR originally came out I suspect it had flats on it. What flats are available today that would most closely mimic the flats of that era?

I use my black Casady for the fancy gigs.

Upstage the bride. Take the Blingbird.
