Well finally Scott's @godofthunder59 package arrived after arriving in the UK 3 weeks ago, Thanks Scott

My first observations of the Badbird bridge is that it's a class bit of kit, the photographs I have seen just don't do it justice. I honestly expected a bent bit of metal but it's a bloody solid thing, either cast or machined from the solid, I suspect the latter due to it's weight but either way I'm impressed, very impressed.

After all that for now I have put the 3 pointer on, I've really been struggling with what to do but for now I have gone with the non destructive option (as in do drilling of the body. If I stay with this option I think I might get a new PG with one of @Larry V 76 decals on it and strip the paint off the headstock recess.

I've not set it up yet but will do in a day or two after it's settled down again after re stringing

Thanks Colin! The Badbird Bridge is machined from solid brass and made in the good 'old USA!

Compresstion: does anybody know of a primer or site or something that makes clear what the parameters of a compressor do? I've got the TC Spectra Comp that has about a dozen parameters to adjust and it confuses me, trying to get the result I'm after. It's because I don't have all the definitions. Whatcha got?

Here's a good place to start with compressor reviews and compressor basics. This guy's a pretty good read for all that business.

Do they make different versions of this pedal? I did a Google search and it kept bringing up a spectacomp pedal with a single knob. So, I was curious as to what you meant about dialing in parameters? Are you trying to create your own tone print and dialing in the sound you want, to beam to that pedal or is there a different model with more settings?

Love your action shots! But dang it, you aren't helping my bass addiction a bit!
I told my wife I could make it an entire year without buying any basses or gear. That date is up in December and I'm so GASsing for a surf green NR Fenderbird with a reverse Tele headstock, lollipop tuners, three pickups and three vol/tone stack pots with chrome hardware and a parchment pickguard. Where's Cataldo when you need him?

You can edit all the parameters on your computer and then zap them on to the pedal.

Dialing my own sound. There is software that allows you to adjust about a dozen parameters of that pedal, including a whole mess of things you can set the knob to control, from ratio to volume and a lot of other stuff. What I think I'm looking for is a limiter and a good bit of sustain, which may be antithetical to each other. I'm using Nathan East's Toneprint right now but it's a little more squashed than I want because it's lacking a little in presence.
