I used a Lab cab with an SVT cab and head with one band, forgot whether it was a 410 or a 412 cab. The combination sounded pretty good though. It wasn't mine.

I like Roto flats as well. Don't have them on anything at present.
You must have the same flip phone as @GonePlaidI have an American Vintage Hot Rod P/J with a graduated neck on it, 7.25 to 12" radius and 1 5/8 at the nut, it's a really nice neck but I played a '68 P bass with a 66 J neck on it for close to 20 years and got very used to 1 1/2 nuts, I have a Jazz now and my reverse 'Bird has a 1 1/2 nut also. I've owned P's with P necks but always missed the A necks so I just bought a nice American J neck from the Stratosphere with a black headstock to match the bass. The TF fretless neck I have feels very close to a J neck for some reason even though it's 1 5/8th at the nut.

So a little internet "research" says that Paul played lead guitar and Harrison played bass on Taxman.Taxman is most likely The Hofner, it doesn't sound like a Ric at all, it has that hollow sound and I think he starts in the fifth position, probably no open notes at all.
That bass isn't resting on his hip...Like this? But you have to be no more than 6" taller than the bass for it to work. This makes the strap look longer. Even like this you can tell it's even more painful.
Hint: If you can reach the volume/tone knobs, you ain't doin' it right.

I stumbled across these Thunderbird pickups on Reverb. Anyone heard of these? I don't remember us ever discussing them. I couldn't find any sound clips of them.

Silly man. Just flip them around.Sorry @BklynKen it appear they are right handed only...
But then the North and South of your magnets will be reversed. Either you will get more hum or you will be out of phase. Maybe both!Silly man. Just flip them around.

Those Embassies look like a bargain. I like the burgundy and green. When I saw the beige online I thought it was a terrible colour*, but in person it actually looks really good.just a week shy of 13 months... I'm sure fedex will make it well over 13 months...
patience has paid off, got it below current cost. But have to put off my DC project and a couple others, defret soon.

Hence my calling it internet "research"...It depends on the source, there has been a lot of revisionist history out the past few years that attributes bass parts to Lennon, Harrison etc, I know Lennon played on a few and so did Harrison, but from what I've read when Paul would play piano or guitar one of the others would play bass and McCartney would go in after the basic tracks were done and overdub the bass but this would not be written on any studio logs sometimes. One famous example lately is people saying Lennon played the bass on Helter Skelter, there is no way he could have played that, he hated playing bass and was terrible, Harrison was pretty good but sounded like a guitar playing playing bass. I have even seen places where Harrison is credited with playing bass on Something, I don't believe it.

Crackberry? No it's a smart phone just that I'm not very smart. I still have one that has a slide out analog keyboard that I actually still used when I went back to Mass 3 or 4 months ago.
