Thunderbird Club

Grass skirt, coconut shell bra - We haven't suggested running down the streets of one's Home Prefecture yelling "Thunderbirds Rule" at the top of lungs in awhile.......Hmmmmmm.

...could bring back streaking...

Mine was Cherry. If it had looked like yours(walnut?), it'd never have been sold.

Unstained mahogany as far as I know. I ordered a 'brown' EB-3 with the slotted hs and received a cherry unslotted hs EB-3. I learned much later it was a NOS '68 - new to me in '71. (what did I know?)

I only sold mine 'cos it wasn't being played. I got a (then) good price for it. Less than a month later I needed a ss bass for a very tight space gig. Bought a Squier VM Jaguar SS. :meh: Did a coupla mods to it. Still :meh:. Sold it.

I can see the wood under the headstock :crying:

If it makes you feel any better......

Seriously. It’s a great price on a rare Bird. You really need to go check it out. He might even negotiate with a fellow Kentuckian.
Stop it!
An enabling bunch we are.
Yes, without doubt. Professionals no less.

I'm holding out for a used Burgundy NR one day. If I get one, it's going to be a super deal (almost theft), or exactly the color I want at a great price. May even need to think about selling something first, but shipping is crazy now and not likely to get better. I really don't need another bass. (Stop laughing. I'm serious. Mostly. Kind of.)

OK, at some point this train went off the rails once we got past the shirt part.
Grass skirts and watermelons, this is on the rails for us.
