Not enough the deer sleep, eat and poop in the yard, now we have turkey dating.

And worse... turkey orgies... They have no shame.

We have a few hundred freakin' turkeys in the 50 acres around our property. My wife hates guns, but I am allowed to break out my air gun and pop them in the butts (no damage, just a bit of Pavlov) to get them off the landscaping. Talk about poop machines.

At the place I used to work in Jacksonville, FL, there was one resident peacock. Amazing how much poop can come outta one bird.

I hate it when it happens, but shows the thing has actually been in use. Now you can worry less about it happening.

They can survive complete decapitation. Or something along these lines with no problem. Burst VP.

Years ago I was part of a bicycle road race here in CA on the Peninsula and the road went past an old house where a guy had a few peacocks, or at least they were always around his (rural/country) property. We had to carefully navigate around one in full-spread each lap. Made he event more interesting.

Did he shriek at you? That'll get yer attention.

I always struggled with finger picking on guitar, so when I took up bass I played with a pick. Some people kept yammering about real players not using picks but I ignored them[1]. But then there were songs that just demanded fingers ("Stand by Me"), so I started learning, and switched to that. But there are songs that demand a pick ("White Rabbit"). So I work on both and go with what works best with the song.

[1] I learned long ago that people who say such things are telling you fae more about themselves than either you or the topic at hand.

("White Rabbit") I always thought that Jack played with a pick at least part of the time but recently read an interview with him and he said he always played with fingers, also the first three JA albums were done with a '65 Jazz bass with an extra split P pickup right up against the neck.
Years ago I got a pick sound out of a fretless P bass through an SVT, used dead half rounds and set the mid switch to the 3 khz position and turned it up a little, I think I also used the ultra lo position, people swore I was playing with a pick

I use the thing basically upside down and play with what would the rounded left top side, and with the point pointing along my thumb. Feels natural and the pick doesn't want to spin. I now also drill a 3/8 in hole in the middle to help when my fingers get a little sweaty. It's the "Miles Pick." I was talking with a guitar player a couple weeks ago and they thought that was a good idea.

That sounds like a good idea.

Can't believe I forgot Mel... who used a pick.
