IIRC, the only P bass I've ever held was a 5er-when I was looking for a 5er. Then I found my Les Paul 5er. Game over.(It's the one on the rightOh. P basses.

nuttin’ wrong with Js imho….
I've heard many a J that sounded good. How the amp is EQ'ed makes a big difference. I've also heard a ship(sp?) load of them sounding like Jaco's tone(most jazz guys)-which I pretty much [strongly dislike]. I played a J once, sitting in. It was OK-I guess.

Great time for a 16 year old kid to be hitch hiking. In hindsight I’d normally ask myself, what were you thinking. But it’s a moot point, I obviously wasn’t thinking at all.

Some of these professional enablers here (and you know who you are), finally got me to bite. It was exactly the color I was looking for. It's new from a shop that seems to have bought out a store that was a Gibson dealer/seller. I liked that they moved the pots to being inline. Owner is a Thunderbird fan and thought it looked weird the way Gibson had them.
She is beautiful! Love that color on the NR.
