Ah, sorry Carlo, didn't mean to misquote you :)

Here's my '08 Nikki Sixx, the action at the fret board is fine, nice and low. Yes, that's a chrome plated opti-grab. :smug:

Here's the '89

Well, it does play nice, the action is fine, but there's obviously some difference between the '08 and the '89. I'll try to shoot some comparisons later this week.

I have the same hight difference between my 2005 and 2013 50th Anniversary birds...

It seems that the neck pitch are pretty close to each other, but there are other smaller differences which come into play:

The 4 individual bridge pieces seem to be higher (longer) on the 2005 than they are on the 2013, so the bridge on the 2005 sits pretty close to the surface of the bass, whereas on the 2013 it sits pretty high up. If the saddle pieces were identical in height on both basses, I guess they would be at more or less the same height from the surface of the bass.

Am I the only one, who have been having trouble reading/loading the TB pages on a mobile unit the last couple of days???

Sometimes the pages take forever to load, and generally act flaky when loaded: weird zooming of the pages, slow reaction (if any) when pressing the "Like", "Quote" or "Reply" buttons...

I've been having this problem for the last 2-3 days on both my iPhone and iPad, and also one day on my MacBook, where it took forever loading a page, and it kinda stuck halfway through...

Same - iPhone 6s. Plus reloading pages randomly and making sign in frequently even though I tick the remember me option.

Hasn't been great. iPad is clapped out anyway, but it's not very snappy on the iPhone and Mac either.

Same thing on my desktop, off and on the past couple days. Mostly yesterday. I'm also using the "Retro" skin.

Someone's reported it, sort-of ... Page reloading on iPhone

I can absolutely confirm that the '01 bridge sits like your '89. Whatever got redesigned was done after '01. The '01 I have is magical. The '91 is fantastic, and the '15 is a Swiss army knife, but the '01 is almost scary.

Thanks for answering that for me, your highness. I never really followed Crue and mostly knew more about Sixx because of his uncanny ability to avoid death, by a rocker lifestyle (than for his bass playing and rig). After getting my new bird this year and doing my requisite T-bird history homework, I always wondered how it was physically possible for him to use the metal "opti-grab" without seriously messing up his fingers (or wrist).
You and me both. It looks like it would break your finger instead of being useful. But then I don't use a pick or play right at the bridge, so what do I know.

I advise you not to get near of one of these, you might cr@p your p@nts.:)

To clarify, by "sort of" I meant that the issue seems to have variations for different people. For example several times I could browse forums fine but couldn't access PM's.

Didn't mean to infer any issue with your reporting of it.

No worries, just thought I didn't follow proper reporting procedures. And the constant reloading wasn't helping me at all, couldn't get a whole sentence in, it was like I was talking to my ex wife, lol.

Issue has been addressed and fixed, btw.
