What kind of difference in feel? And what about tone?SIT 50-105 Flats arrived, installed, tuned. Feel a lot different from the EBCFs. Not unhappy, just not too certain-yet. Gig Saturday, report after.

IDK yet. I played on 'em for a few minutes through my practice amp(which is very different from my gigging amps). I get a bit of 'squeak' that I didn't get with the EBCFs. Tone is comparable; feel is not as smooth. We'll see after a gig or 2. E has major cojones, but less sustain than the EBs. Again, I gotta give them-and me-time to get used to each other. What kind of difference in feel? And what about tone?

I wish someone would make an older '70s Freightliner Conventional in HO!
Have you seen this nice Kenworth and the Peterblit 359 from Brekina?

Well, I suppose where you place your fingers does change the tone or the semitone. Some people call them notes...There's enough clank for my taste when I play with a pick and changing where you place your fingers obviously gives different tone as well.

He's open to offers. It's still more than $500 more than I ever paid for a Thunderbird. Now excuse me, please, I have some clouds to shout at.
One of the few Ampegs I would ever want.
nice bass…too bad TB+ pups are wider than 60’s making one have to get a new pg to look right…irony is, the innards are probably close in dimension…..
from what I understand, BaCH built the NRs from requests from folks in the club……I swapped the claw for a more vintage looking
one from Scott but always wondered about the saddle section….does anyone know if that design was specifically designed for this effort or, was it repurposed from another bass (can’t think of one)?….great bridge…

and of course, not wanting to put you on the spot I asked an open question; knowing it would be you coming back with the insight…..Nice pair!!!
I don't remember seeing those bridges available on the parts market prior to the Bach basses being released. A while after the Bach's were released I saw the bridges at Philadelphia Luthier Supply, but that doesn't mean they weren't available there before. I remember seeing a lot of Tune-O-Matic bass bridges on the market, but not any like the Bach bridge. In the back of my brain I feel like there is a memory of Bach sourcing the bridges specifically for the Bird project. Of course I am crazy so take all of this with a grain of salt.
