It's a shame that bass has been so heavily modified - It's a rare Epi for sure, set neck and made in Japan, like my Orville.

An AMX or Javelin is more of a head-tuner for me than a Corvette. They were simply some of the best looks cars ever made by anyone. A friend had a blue Javelin. Should have tried to buy it from him. Young and stupid.....

My yellow 74 Javelin was a head turner AND a Corvette stomper.

had a useful back seat too... but not as cool as the AMX...

I like it. Glad you went with the "right" choice of necks. Adds some funkiness to it.

I was dreading it because of the weight, but with the light tunas all is well.

folks used to drop Ford 289s in those Opels (Euro GM)…..when i think of a poor man’s vette i think of the Gremlin (2 seater) with the 304 small block…as for the AMX, it’s very much a sports car….could it pass for a muscle car? perhaps although purists insist on a rear seat….truth is the AMX performed better than the vette on the skid, was lighter, shorter and better balanced….make no mistake, a sports car through and through…

My brother had a '68 AMX with a 343(?) and 4-speed. That car was just stupid fun to drive.

The lack of rear seat is a birth control measure - cheerleaders can't get pregnant if there is no back seat...

A high school friend had a Javelin. The thing I remember most is that there was about 12" of empty space between the grill and the radiator.
