Thunderbird Club

My local L&M is really good. I let them know what I am looking for and a price range and they call me when something comes in. I was looking for a 115 in the $200 range. They called and had a used Mesa 410 for me at $250. Recently I got a 7ender guitar 112 (so that my brother doesn't have to bring a cab) for $200. Just have to be willing to wait.
Was it a Powerhouse for $250? Did you buy it?

Here's the same pic my normal way.

It was one of the 'road ready series'. It is a beast - weighs about 135#. It has had a couple of drivers replaced. It looks like it lived in a bar as part of the house backline. It works just fine and saves me having to lug a cab back and forth to my brother's place. Sounds good too.

The first real concert I went to was The Marshall Tucker Band. They are all great players, jazz-rock-country. A little too much country at times. Climax Blues Band opened. Both were great live.

I liked the Climax Blues Band -

So a 10+ year old can of gold paint on a non-grain filled 220 grit at best-fresh off the router body looks really good.

there is some pearly small flake in the paint and in some spots the gold absorbed into the wood and left just pearly silvery on the surface.

I made her a 3+1 headstock, but with the huge back plates I'm limited on shaping the headstock, I need some smaller tunas...
