Thunderbird Club

Yep. They’re great amps. Yours sounds like it’ll outlast all of us.

Well, the old Hiwatts were built to last. I've been lucky with my amps I guess. The Hiwatt did cost a bit when I bought it in 1997 but I think I can change the purchase amount straight from marks to euros if I should sell it. The Lab amps have been super cheap (one L2 I got for free) and they seem to be very well built too (Gibson/Moog). Great tone.

The modern IR technology has helped me to acquire sounds of cabs I thought I could never play through (i.e. Acoustic 361/301) and has already proven that if no other option I can manage without a backline and go straight to the house and still have my sound that is a combo of a certain bass and the amp+cab. Plus it's a definite improvement on home recordings.

One thing I miss at my area is a proper music store. It's been too long since I could walk in and try some gear. Too long.

funny, stories like these always seem to come from europe…we once played a new year’s eve party in a nudist community (we were dressed) and when setting up in the afternoon I went to their store for a pack of gum to find them shopping with sweaters (chilly) but nothing else on……surreal….
When I was younger, I thought that kind of place might be kind of interesting. Now, I'm quite happy most people are dressed. Funny thing is that we had a neighbor who was a beautiful woman. She built a deck on the back of her house and would sun herself on the deck. She was wearing a skimpy bikini and the deck essentially put her on stage next to our yard. Somehow, she managed to be beautiful, minimally dressed, and about the least sexy person I could imagine. How that works is beyond me. Thunderbirds are sexy. That's easy to figure out.

grrrr.....

Calm down Tbird bro

So the kickass and badass ii bridge weights are extremely similar.

as much as I love the Gotoh 201 it has a tiny footprint and looks odd with the single pickup DC.......

badass ii for the win, sell the kickass and never buy another.....

I have a Hipshot Kickass bridge, that came on my SR1200.
Not really a fan - especially of the movable saddles that I can't seem to get to quit moving, without gluing them down :meh:

It'll get a Babicz as soon as a free up a few more funds....
