Something's definitely f---ed* up. Somehow the interweb made the Thunderbird look like a 7ender.Hum. I didn't do anything different--possibly something was resolved with the server.
How about this? (I'm not sure why it's so grainy. Poor lighting possibly. But my pics seem to get blurry after posting.)

That would be called an orgy then.In the Biblical sense?![]()
You're seeing what I get back as well in a reply that says nothing is there. Clearly is it. I think some y'all are just messin' wit me.
And the 360 looks like a small Ampeg.... Don't get it.....Something's definitely f---ed* up. Somehow the interweb made the Thunderbird look like a 7ender.

I learned from the master. But I'm not sure any of his are that bad.Yep, I see it.
You must have invited @GonePlaid to come to your house to take bass pictures.![]()

Looks great! I can see all the detail just fine, including all the rusty screw heads on the cracked and chipped pick guard. It’s about time you throw that old trashed up bass away, give it to me to dispose of and I’ll buy you a nice shiny brand new one in whatever color you want.
See it!Hum. I didn't do anything different--possibly something was resolved with the server.

Well, maybe. Only if you move to Louisville so I can still play it when I want! But...I still get the new shiny bass, and can borrow from your flock from time to time. Shall we have MCF prepare the proper instrument for this agreement?Looks great! I can see all the detail just fine, including all the rusty screw heads on the cracked and chipped pick guard. See this one too. Here's the same pic my normal way.

My LP is much more simple. It only has one pickup. Pulling up the volume pot switches it to single coil. I haven’t gigged or done any serious recording with it, but the single coil setting sounds good.26409280[/URL], member: 85055"]I’d be very interested in the results of a tap test on your LP.
Test Method
1) Plug bass into amp
2) Turn each pup volume to max
3) Set tone at max
4) With a metal screwdriver, gently tap on one of the exposed neck pup pole pieces closest to the neck, note the tone
5) Do the same on the same pup except tap on one of the pole pieces closest to the bridge, note the tone
6) Now pull the volume knob up on the neck pup and repeat steps 4 and 5, again noting the tone
7) With the neck pup volume knob still pulled up, tap on the neck coil and turn the tone knob, any change in tone?
8) With the neck pup volume knob still pulled up, tap on the bridge coil and turn the tone knob, any change?
If your bass is wired the same as mine you will have noticed that all the pole pieces on the neck pup are active regardless of the neck volume knob being up or down. You should also notice that both rows of pole pieces on the neck pup are impacted by the tone knob with the volume knob down, but only the bridge side of the neck pup pole pieces are effected by the tone knob with the volume knob pulled up, the neck side pole pieces don’t seem to change in tone.
Its a very interesting control scheme that I wasn’t fully aware of even after playing this bass for the last 5+ years. From day one I always noticed a strange interaction between the volume and tone knobs (and I think I’ve mentioned here before) but couldn’t put my finger on it. For lack of a better description, I’d say the push/pull pots aren’t wired in a traditional coil cut, but are instead wired in a tone pot bypass on only the north poles of each pup. Volume Knob down, full tone control with the tone knob; volume knob up and tone control only on one coil of the pup, the other coil remains unchanged.
Strange concept, but might be something that could be leveraged if you think through the options. I know @JIO has done a lot of unique wiring, I’d also be interested in his take on it. I’ve never seen anything like it before.
