I've seen some great bass players at the Catalyst. In '83 I caught Flee when the Chili Peppers we're actually Red Hot. The Bass player for Bow Wow Wow was impressive. There was a local World beat band called Mapenzie that had 2 Bass players. Never seen that before or since. Good fun.

Can I suggest that we publish a list of what equipment we would be willing to bring to the July GTG so people can make requests to see them? That way, we reduce, maybe, how much we are packing? As an example, I am bringing my Sunn Concert Bass amp so @Chucky Stiletti can do his magic, but I also have a Sunn 215m cabinet that I could bring if anyone really wanted to hear that combo. Of course, if no one is interested, I will save my back trying to hoist that into my pickup.

I'm happy to host the list if that is something folks want.

thought the same when i first saw Greco Birds….some (V and George come to mind) use a bridge cover and it kinda looks like 60’s two piece setup….

Thanks Jeff! You're too kind. I did as well until doing different songs every week at church. Had chord sheets and it really hindered my learning a song by ear. Age could have something to do with it as well. And a lot more stuff going on! Few songs I have memorized. No need as you never know when you'll play them again. Used to have over 40 in set lists and never saw music for any of them. I think that helped me to remember when I have to learn a song the old way.

I’ve had a hard time with playing by ear now that I’m old. All those concerts back in the day.
