Reminds me of the first time I used a rubber mallet. Just a teenager putting a stubborn hubcap (remember those) back on a friends car. The car was on a lift so the wheels were about face level, my buddy handed me a rubber mallet and said give it a good whack , it’ll go right back on. So I did. Much to my surprise, immediately after the hammer struck the wheel it came right back in my face, right between the eyes (two black eyes I might add). As I’m standing there dumbfounded he’s laughing his arse off. I got the last laugh though when I promptly walked the hammer over to a cutoff saw, cut the handle off and handed it back to him. We both learned a lesson that day.
