Thunderbird Club

I think that was all reused from the original series, no?
I don’t know. The Shadowy men looked greyer

It looks like new footage of the Shadowy men, but I’m not sure if it’s new audio. You can definitely hear it’s a Tbird

I guess you're talking "mountain" and not about having a t-shirt with anything to do with this. (It pained me to look up this pic.)

Better that than some of her recent pix.:jawdrop:

Miss a couple days and there is a mountain to climb. Please point me to anything that's a must read, otherwise I'm not going to try to get caught up. It's been an exhausting two days. We were getting ready for church and my wife's sister called and said their mother was in cardiac arrest at home. I met them at the hospital, but there was nothing that could be done to save her after 20-30 minutes or so. It was unexpected and which adds to the shock. I feel so badly for Sandra and can't do a thing really. I told her I don't think I ever felt so helpless. All this as we were approaching the first anniversary of her dad's passing in June. I got along great with my MIL, so there's no regrets or bad blood there as is often the case. (Please no need to comment, we all know such things are a real challenge and feel for others who go through such a time. Pick up a Thunderbird and enjoy life while you can.)
My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Yes! This is what is needed (and not just on the NRs). The closer the pickup nears the mudbucker position the more hollow they sound. I'm not sure who the person is at Gibson with an IQ of a bout 30.5 that thought moving it from perfection was a good idea. This is in part why the VPs sound so good--they got them pretty close to correct. But I've ranted enough on Gibson and their pickup placement confusion. Well, not enough, because they haven't begun to put them back where they belong. Can you swing by Louisville and fix mine while you'er in the mood?:roflmao:

I guarantee it was an aesthetic choice, someone with a degree in fung-shue or underwater basket weaving from a community college decided to place the pickups where they looked best.

I did. I knew the concert went on. I just hadn't realized they kept playing the song when he passed out. "Won't Get Fooled Again" - you know they had to be thinking about those lyrics in relation to Keith, at least a bit.

I posted a video of it under "what are you listening to right now" under recordings, you can't really even hear the drums at the beginning, the women who gave him the PCP had seizures and ended up in the hospital. I guess he fell backwards off the drums at about the 2 or 3 minute mark.

I have two - one stock (brown one) and the other modded fretless. They are commonly available on eBay for usually a reasonable cost and as long as the neck is good - they are great sounding- easy playing basses. I can out "Motown" any P-bass on my brown one. (with old flats)

Modded with an ebony lined fretless fb, thumb rest, added Guild RI Darkdstar bridge pu & RI vintage Manton pu selecter knob.

Nice!

Nothing is worse than that. Well maybe the Edsel…

An Edsel is graceful compared to an Aztek. I just cannot fathom how that car was ever built, was the design committee massively high on cocaine when they said "yup! That's it, that's the car we're gonna build".

You gotta wonder why they start with a simple concept (RI) and change things on it that take it away from being an authentic RI. And not to make it better. It's like they are supporting the DIY industry.

Remember the Edsel's nickname?

That's what I was figuring. Or, somehow it makes for more lows in their mind. But it's a common practice, Fender moves Strat pickups all the time and the two Les Paul pickups have been in all kinds of locations....

it is, Le Mont-Saint-Michel…..if you miss the tide you have to spend the night (not a bad thing by any means)…..the bulldog (Rocco) once scammed a roasted duck from the back of a bistro up right next to the monastery…

We took our son there when he was 9 or 10. He was unimpressed with all the old stone fortresses and churches until we got to Mont-Saint-Michel. Then he was very impressed.
