Got Seymour Duncan quarter pounders in mine, along with the Hipshot bridge it sounds huge, way better than the complete poo fender send them out with

I do fancy making a through neck jazz with humbuckers in, that would sound good

I would like all ya'll's opinion of the GK Backline amps. Many of us play GK's and I dont understand what differs. Overall do you guys(and gals) like the sound of the Backline series?

Normally I might ask in the amp section but I want to get the opinions of my fellow T-Bird community.

I'm not of much help on this as I'm good with Ampeg into a Genz cab.
But the GKs get a lot of love here.

So if GK users aren't Backline fans, let us know what you hear different

I've not used a GK Backline rig (I use GK primarily,) but the common theme around here seems to be that the amp is pretty decent and nearly comparable to standard GK, but the Backline cabs are apparently lacking.

I am definatly in the 'used' camp as well. Am not a seasoned veteran so I am building. There is a Backline 250 going dor just under $100usd that I am considering. Trying to decide if I should jump at the Backline or wait till next summer.

Nothing wrong with used equipment in lots of cases.

I got my first Thunderbird today . Its an Epiphone custom in alpine white and looks and sound's awesome . I should add that I photographed it before putting new strings on although Im thinking of changing again to La Bella tapes or the D'Addario tapes in black .

I have only played through a GK once, and it sounded OK. Not memorable, but then I'm an outlier who plays through big ol' Acoustic Control equipment in spite of its weight and age.

Sorry, that wasn't much help, was it. But it did keep the club on the first page. That's always a bonus.

Thanks! And a later version referencing both - (Epi) T-bird body, Saunders P-neck, Wilkinson buckers, and the early 90's 9v Fender/Kubicki pre. Only bass I own that goes toe-to-toe with my '64 T-bird.

Can I join the Club now with that real beauty I just acquired this past week-end??? Ain't she pretty enough for you ??? she is superb! The Lull design is much superior in my humble opinion, balances really well, sustain to last forever!!!! Great Tone with newly installed Dunlop Super Bright Stainless steel strings too ! She stands nicely along with the superb Fender Precision AVRI 63 !!! Only light reflections on the pictures, she is in a very, very good condition!!!
