Thunderbird Club

I recall some here saying he thought they sounded sappy when he ran across them in person once when he was young.:D I wouldn't dare mention his name because he's moving back to this side of the country and don't want his ire directed at me.:smug: But it was a great, funny and memorable story from his youth--and I'm sure his appreciation has grown over the years.

I forget who it was, but it was a pretty great story!

The nurse yells at me every time I pull out my IV...
I was wondering if I was the only one who read the original post that way vs Roman numeral.

Well the version I know is Daisley and Kerslake, so I'm good. I could honestly care less about the new version, and have a newly compromised attitude about Trujillo and Bordin, taking part in such soap opera/tantrum-borne behavior. Besides, why would you presume to try and improve on a classic? Especially under the impetus of somebody's pissed off spouse...
Fck those two...
Good bad or otherwise, I can’t recall a single Metallica song that Trujillo has been on that I can even hear his bass. I know he’s a talented player, but it seems he’s always completely buried in the mix.

Wishing you a Happy Birthday @godofthunder59 Scott!

Have a wonderful day Thunderbird Brother!

The Daisley/Kerslake vesions were pulled in favour of the new recordings by the Harpy. Unless you had the CD you were listening to the new version.

I would suspect that Trujillo and Bordin did not know why they were asked to do the recording. Those undertaking petty vendettas rarely admit their motivation to those they work with.

It is Lars' and James' band and they control the mix; so lots of rhythm guitar and drums. I think part of why their popularity has waned with each album since And Justice For All. They addressed things in part by moving out of their musical comfort zone (only AC/DC can produce the same album 12 times and remain popular). They would be a much better band if they could have healthy relationships.

And don't forget: The most skilled guitar player in Metallica is... The bass player.

I have liked Trujillo's Infectious Grooves work. I think that is where he shines.
