Nice. Do you know what bass Mike played in his own bands?

He had a bunch of basses including a fair number of Thunderbirds over the years, I don't recall him ever saying which if any bass he used personally though - His '66 Jazz was at the shop quite often though, I played it through that SWR in the vid.

I played a show in an art gallery a number of years ago, and Nancy Guppy, the interviewer was there. I didn't have an inkling who she was. She came up and did the whole "slappa the bass" thing. I wasn't sure what to think about that.

Nancy was a regular on "Almost Live" too.

Wow! Very tastefully done! It’s a shame that most of these car modders only ever realize pennies on the dollar when they sell. This one is a true work of art.

I think most of those cars are commissioned by folks that can afford it. Trying to recoup the cost would be difficult for sure!

I kinda like that Volvo. The fake wood looks like an enlargement of peeled plywood veneers. You don't see that put on anything meant to be attractive very often.

If you want to see pristine Chris-Craft wood boats, take a tour of the Lake Tahoe marinas. I love the ones with the rumble seats.

Neil Young collects '40s bulge-mobiles like that. Saw him driving one locally when he lived in the Bay Area, and he nearly hit me and a friend on our bicycles driving one just like that one. It has CA plates so perhaps it's his.
