Is today the date we were going to start our 12 days of Tbirds holiday funfest?

I need time to procure my Festivus butt bows.

Yes!

Let's just keep posting shots for the next 12 days guys and gals.

Everything goes here, show pics old or new, builds, famous Thunderbird players, your holiday home with 'Birds etc. Let's not blow our wad on the first day either!

Here's an oldie.
Once, long ago I was in Bass Player Magazine's amateur feature. I still have that Badass tank drivin' hat and goggles - Nice feastive green bass too!

Let's go!

That outfit rocks! Leather mini skirt, the boots, the hat and glasses. Awesome look. You should revisit that from time to time (if you don't already).

I was skinny like a junkie back then!

Here's a link to something our buddy Rob, (basvarken) did yesterday, it was a presentation of the Gibson Bass book at the Gibson showroom in Amsterdam
Some famous folks were present!

Would you buy a copy of the Gibson Bass Book?

Yay Rob!

We were all young once. I found 10 seconds of footage of me in 1982 the other day. Not playing a Bird so won't be posting it here.

Please post it if you want to - :)

I would not change a thing in my 2001 Bird's electronic parts. Not unless something fries. I LOVE that bass and it just sounds different for whatever reason. I'm afraid I would screw up the Mojo that Bird has.
That's kinda how I feel about my 2001. Kinda. I can't help myself. But, the 1991 will get Thunderbuckers first, long before the 2001.

First day of Xmas:

very old picture of few days after i first purchased it. i guess it was more a spur of the moment love & hate relationship with this bass for years after. I will admit i did buy this the same day i quit smoking. I love this bass today after all the mods & i do still smoke occasionally & it looks better than it did in this picture!
