Thunderbird Club

Just re-discovered this. Forgot it existed. More proof that "ya can't play jazz on a Thunderbird".
WARNING: bass solo @ 4:25.[added octaver, 1 octave up ~1/2 way through]

Damn one trick pony! All it plays is music of any genre. Never once has my Tbird changed a tire or made dinner or walked the dog. I clearly need a bass that can do more than one trick. ;)

The nerve of some people. Who takes a Rock-n-Roll Thunderbird bass to a Jazz gig? Didn't get the memo did you?

Really nice playing, by the way. I thought you were going to run out of frets at one point.

I used to have a small slot car track when I was a kid in the 90's. Don't know what became of it, or where it went... Knowing my mother it probably was donated to some charity just to get it out of the way and so I couldn't play with it. She never liked it when I had toys, she was pretty much of the mentality all work all the time and zero play.

all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy... :)

Powder. I need to find what I did with it. At least one can am racer and a rail. I have a transparent controller and some Mura electric motors.

This is the one I had, I bought it used from one of the fast guys who upgraded theirs.

Don't know if this was the same brand - but my inexpensive plastic bodied slot car looked like this. I wanted to up-grade to the clear vacu-form bodies but they were a bigger scale.

Thanks.
Ignored it-like most memos.
Advantage NR-easier to reach upper frets.:)

Life’s too short to work the time.

No, she liked to try to shame me for wanting to play and be a normal kid. She often would take away my Playstation 1 or the 2 without any reason, I was never a problematic kid, never gave any troubles, my teachers always commended that I was one of the most polite and well-behaved kids on the classrooms. Of course that never was enough for my mother, she loved comparing me to my oldest sister and I always came up short and leaving something to be desired in her opinion. Always made me feel small and insignificant, suffice to say we've never had a good relationship. (Sorry about that, didn't meant to offload)

I’ve never gotten Zappa. I learned “My Guitar wants to kill you mama” last year. It was interesting for sure, but not something I would seek out to listen to.
I’m with ya on this one. Never took the time to develop a taste for Zappa. Don’t dislike him at all, but truth be told, I can’t name one song he did and it seems like the few songs of his that I have listened to were more satire or poking fun at something.
