There is such a thing as a left-handed hammer. I have one from my construction days. Actually it's a normal 20oz. hammer that I fine-tuned the wooden handle for my left hand a bit.They didn’t look hard enough, tell them they’re on the back shelf right next to the right handed screwdrivers and below the left handed hammers.
