…stop!….just saying’ ….not intuitive, specially when taking into account “Desafinado” literally means Detuned in portuguese…..(or spanish)…….
For sure Desafinado is quite the chart and a good challenge especially if you aren’t familiar with it. Growing up as a rock player, I appreciate tips on how to navigate tunes like that.

For goodness sake, did any body check for wheel ants (or worse crabs) before that past the limit jaunt? Could have ended badly.

Wheel crabs?

Ant Wheels?

What the Fudge?!

Apparently, your court jester didn't keep you up to date on the past "few" pages.

And it's wheel ants, not ant wheels...:rollno:

Ant wheels, huh? Must be a California thing - I better have the Subie checked, I could be spreading something around.

If I must...

I did mine long before Hipshot made the better, slightly smaller ones, they do overlap a little, but it's never been a problem.

And that offset set screw proves that it's an early reissue. I don't recall what the tuners were, but they didn't have an inline set screw like the recent ones do. That's how the Flamingo is, so more holes drilled. I didn't put the old screw back in the hole. Just left the hole empty.

I'm a tidy Queen, put the unused screws back into the bass - I would have lost them quickly other wise!

Eastwood makes a pretty nice looking reproduction of the old Ampeg. Never played an Eastman so don’t know if they’re any good…

Might be interesting with a Tbird pup dropped in.
I played an Eastwood about ten or fifteen years ago. It was one an Ampeg repro. It had a really good, dry, woody sound with a lot of reddish brown in the sound. It sounded a bit like my EB-2 with a Dimarzio One pickup. I liked it a whole lot.

I'm finally getting around to dealing with the Camaro. I just talked to a guy who does that kind of work, since the likelihood that I'll ever get it done is about zero. I'm guessing it will be a roughly year long project, what with down time and waiting for parts and all that. The shop does a number of cars, so it's not like they would be working on it for a year.
