I think the Sunn hum was cured by that massive rig it was sitting on...jealousy or a magnetic field...
Imposter! (no back'ards hat)
awesome pic!Always wanted one of those.
The Spector is a longer scale than a Gibby but the overall length is quite a bit shorter than a VP or a ‘60s bird, it’s even shorter than a modern Gibson Tbird…

It's Tuesday.......... Turning Japanese Tuesday.
For sure Desafinado is quite the chart and a good challenge especially if you aren’t familiar with it. Growing up as a rock player, I appreciate tips on how to navigate tunes like that.…stop!….just saying’ ….not intuitive, specially when taking into account “Desafinado” literally means Detuned in portuguese…..(or spanish)…….

For goodness sake, did any body check for wheel ants (or worse crabs) before that past the limit jaunt? Could have ended badly. As I understand it, they made it into 3 digits mph during a casual cruise![]()

Apparently, your court jester didn't keep you up to date on the past "few" pages.Wheel crabs?
Ant Wheels?
What the Fudge?!

And it's wheel ants, not ant wheels...![]()
If I must...Ant wheels, huh? Must be a California thing - I better have the Subie checked, I could be spreading something around.
And that offset set screw proves that it's an early reissue. I don't recall what the tuners were, but they didn't have an inline set screw like the recent ones do. That's how the Flamingo is, so more holes drilled. I didn't put the old screw back in the hole. Just left the hole empty.Do what Will says.....
How they should look.

I did mine long before Hipshot made the better, slightly smaller ones, they do overlap a little, but it's never been a problem.

I played an Eastwood about ten or fifteen years ago. It was one an Ampeg repro. It had a really good, dry, woody sound with a lot of reddish brown in the sound. It sounded a bit like my EB-2 with a Dimarzio One pickup. I liked it a whole lot.Eastwood makes a pretty nice looking reproduction of the old Ampeg. Never played an Eastman so don’t know if they’re any good…

Might be interesting with a Tbird pup dropped in.
It's the crabs you have to worry about. It's always the crabs....Ant wheels, huh? Must be a California thing - I better have the Subie checked, I could be spreading something around.
Looks like it helps if you inhale deeply while spraying!
You may be right...if someone is really looking for wheel ants. What's it gonna hurt? Brain cells are already questionable, so what's the harm?Eastwood also does an Ovation Magnum Bass replica, though I find it a bit overpriced.Eastwood makes a pretty nice looking reproduction of the old Ampeg. Thx Chuck, the 4 strings run in the 8.5 pound category, and my 5 string runs about 9.25 pounds. The holoflash is a love it or hate it look, but they were also made in trans black over quilted maple.awesome pic!
