Thunderbird Club

Looks like it. Close if not. That era was cool with the tilt up and over steering wheel and swivel out driver seat.
That is the exact Thunderbird I ever first rode in. Our neighbor was a 707 pilot for the now long gone California based PSA Airlines. It had power windows we loved to play with. Much to his annoyance.
Don’t forget the AM Radio with the built in “StudioSonic” sound system that delayed the signal to the rear speakers by a split second for an echo or reverb type effect. They may have even used a spring reverb tank, I vaguely seem to recall that tell tale reverb splash when you hit a big pothole.

For us it was Big Sticks. More Popsicle for the same price.
I think I remember those. We’re they kind of a giant Otter pop?

So I did a thing with my T-Bird,, Anyone else replace the 3 point bridge on their Bird? I also moved the controls to the right place.
Hipshot replacement,, My string action and height went from 8/64th's with the stock bridge decked to 5/64th's with the new hipshot bridge,, Best playing bass I own.. Great upgrade.. View attachment 4784653
The Hipshot is a great bridge. I do prefer the Babicz (although it’s about $100 more) because I can achieve lower action with it (3/64) and intonation is easier. On my Hipshot, I had to get them to send me shorter screws. But both are a great choice for anyone with a problematic three point. And both have top rate customer support.

I haven't replaced the 3 point on my NR yet.

YET.

I have replaced all my other 3 point bridges and I will on my NR. It is a matter of preference. There is nothing wrong with the 3 point, but I like the Hipshot and I like having everything standardized.
I haven’t had the need yet on the ‘21 NR. Although the bridge is pretty much bottomed out to achieve 3/64 low side and 4/64 high side for my desired action. I received compliments on my setup from the gang at the recent GTC. If I need to replace it, it will be with a chrome Babicz.

$29.00 from OC, now John Wayne, to San Jose or SFO/OAK. It was like riding a bus. You got on, took a seat and the flight attendant came by, took your money or used a credit card slider the old fashioned way. A kinder, gentler way to travel compared to all the hassles today. Air Cal (remember them?) was the same. I loved 707s/727s.
So SouthWest more or less... Airborne Greyhound service.

Yep. Both provided peanuts for the short hop. Complimentary soft drinks. Alcohol was very reasonable. I did those flights a lot when I was at UCI.
And during the three years I lived in Irvine thereafter. Mostly during the winter/spring for meeting up with friends to ski up at Tahoe.

So you were an Anteater. Beats being a Banana Slug :)

Can go lower than the HipShot?
