Thunderbird Club

I found one online, they're monsters, same size as an SVT cab but about twice as deep. Someone stuck that Ampeg insignia on it but it looks pretty cool. This is actually a reissue one

View attachment 4823250 First full day of Autumn, time for jewel tones

You know, when I first started hanging in this thread, NRs were my only want.

Between that purple one, your green one, the creme one, the white ones I've seen, and the black ones I've seen, I'm gassing for reverse ones big time.

This, from Mr. "Aesthetics Don't Matter" guy.

:atoz:

I think I'll go do laundry.....

Anyone familiar with the Ampeg BA112HP? It will be the amp du jour at an upcoming gig. Trying to find out how I can get a good tone out of it or a very flat one so I can use my GK 800RB preamp pedal in front of it. I am not a fan of the SVT tone, but I do love the B-15 I use at our practice space. I always hope for an FX loop in the amp du jour so I can use my own pre, but it seems this one doesn't have one.

the 50w practice amp?

I had one and it’s super underpowered for much more than a bedroom amp. No features to speak of…. Sold it for $100

The minimum I’d use is the BA210 v2. It claims 425w but that’s only with an extension cab.. it may be close to 300w solo…

How are you getting stuck with the 112? Is there no other options…. Maybe if your drummer uses brushes and y’all sing accapella….

Sorry, I think 15, not 12.

Ampeg: Bass Amp Series - BA115HP

That’s a fair assessment. And it applies to a lot of different “over the top” artists (Elvis, Lady Gaga, Liberacci…).
The question is, Can he deliver the goods?
I have no idea, can’t say I’ve ever heard Bootsy play a song; wouldn’t know what group he’s with; and don't have any real interest in finding out. I do know he’s a big Warwick user and I do love Warwick basses, so he can’t be all bad.
Seriously?
Bootsy is killer.
