Mobile, AL. That museum is better than it was, but it has some nice things there. Used to be just the battleship and submarine. Go over a couple hours to Pensacola and they have the Naval Air Museum there on which is really nice and well worth the visit.

I’ve been looking out for a damaged Casady to modify. I’d like to shave down the neck, cut down the headstock to the Gibson shape and put 3/8 tuners on it.

I’ve been trying to find one at a reasonable price here in the states for the last several years, rare as hens teeth here for some reason. The short scale and neck pup location are why I’m after it, that and it’s a Greco.

A short scale Squier Mustang in mint condition 3TSB
A short scale Squier Jaguar modded with a John East preamp, very good condition
An early 1990’s Fender P bass Plus in a very rare reverse pearl grey burst finish, very good condition
An extremely rare Reverend Rumblefish 5L in Blackwood finish, mint condition
A Breedlove 5 string Atlas Acoustic Electric Bass, needs one new tuner, otherwise mint condition.

As said above, it's just a full length thumb rest. Silly you, basses don't have or need a 5th string any more than a car needs a 5th wheel.

Was able to sell 2 basses this week and get parts for my 2nd Fenderbird built: got an Epi Goth body and a Fender Aerodyne Jazz neck.
Toying with the idea of refinishing the body in Epi Olympic white to offset the black neck and headstock. Planning to keep the black PG with goth logo, hopefully the goth community will not curse me and my descendants for all eternity for this. Could upgrade the pickups too. Maybe. Not.

Please don't laugh , here's a very crude composite of what I have in mind.

I think it looks fantastic. Get rid of the goth pick guard (but use a black one) and your progeny will be safe from the roaming bands unicorn-riding goths!

I knew the one place in this section of the universe that would know about that would be here in this club!

So, a 5 string bass of necessity must be for an inept player who can't park their bass.
