Thunderbird Club

On the Thunderbird front... Met the luthier this morning, cool guy, with a profesionnal workshop, quite impressive. Going for the tone cap change and white finish, keeping the black Goth PG. With the white logo and black electronics, should look something like this. Hopefully will get it back for the Holidays.

It belonged to a studio musician, and had 2 separate circuits with separate outputs. Since he was a studio guy it had no tone control. It also had Lollar Js.

I bought it complete body only, and added a 1 piece vintage spec P neck , and replaced the Mexican P PUPs with a Lollar P. I had a custom wiring harness made using CTS, a J/P/JP toggle, series/parallel for the J, and a tone. So I guess it's one of a kind.

Thanks! Here's Mike Tilka's modded Fender,:

A cheap Epiphone bridge pickup to a cheap no-name J-body to that excact position. Why, you might ask? Because of Richard Sinclair.
He had a similar mod circa '75 in Hatfield & The North and his sound is so great in their "The Rotters' Club" album so I have no option than to just try it. If it doesn't work for me I can always add some T-bird pickups around it to fill the nasty empty holes.
