Thunderbird Club

I still have my first tuner purchased some time in the 80s. View attachment 4888541

I posted about that here today too and I think mine is the same one except silver and mine still works too. Nope looked again, mine's a little different but it's a Korg and I bought it during the 80's too.

I need to talk somebody into buying it for the Legion! Maybe get a few people to pitch in?

Honestly, those heads are a great buy if in good working order.
And in that condition with that cab….
Yezzireee.

I wonder what Bond would say…..

Been searching. If you know of some please let me know. Fender Bassman 800 runs about 1300

If you are open to used gear, here are a couple. The good thing with GC is their return policy if you don't like something.

Great price on a super loud head:

Anybody touched one of these ? I'm thinking of going hybrid . View attachment 4888775
I wouldn’t do it.
Had one. It immediately went back and I got a Mesa M9.
And for almost 7 bills, there are much better choices.
But ymmv.
I considered one years ago. I agree with Jeff.

If you want a clean sound (which this has), I'd consider an old SWR 350. If you want warmer, Ampeg 3-Pro had five tubes--the most of any hybrid I know of. Several other good options as well.

That was my 1st rig, a Hartke 5500 head into a 215vx Series cab. It sounded good, quality made stuff too, but I sorta grew out of it and went for dirtier sounding amps (Ampegs and now Traynors).

Well y'all got my head spinning now. I don't really neeeeeed another amp right now. I think I'll meditate on a really serene period of my life. Did I mention that I lived on Maui for 16 years ?

I don't need another amp either, but I can't stop shopping for them. Haha

I’d look for a pre-Fender SWR.
Or something the likes of the Trace Elliot our Queen has.

I'm using my Trace Elliot for rehearsals, I'm really liking its tone at low to mid volume a lot, has this nice lo-mid bump that travels out quite nicely. I'll likely still gig with the GK 700RBII as it's got a bit more push for a big space. LOVE my SWR 6x10!
