Well y'all got my head spinning now. I don't really neeeeeed another amp right now.
911... What's the nature of your emergency?

"We have a Thunderbird club member who is losing it and may be in danger of hurting himself. Hurry."

How is the individual presenting?

"He says he doesn't neeeed another amp."

How is that being in danger of hurting himself?

"That's only one step way when he says these kinds of things. We've seen these symptoms and a clear detachment from reality before. We're experts."

I've had and sold two. But I don't know the prices these days, but that looks a mite rough for that price. But I haven't kept up with used prices on them. Downside: not real loud unless you have efficient cabs. I never had a problem, but some complain about that. Then again, people who often complain about an amp not being loud enough and playing too loud to begin with.

One advantage is you can change the tubes yourself and get slightly different sounds. One tube location seemed to make more difference than the others from what I recall.

We have a comedian in our midst. Made me laugh........and look in the mirror. ;)

Just in case you all know someone looking for a Rhodes, I don’t think these folks know what they have. Looks super clean. Located in the Bay Area and not too far from me. I see these for anywhere from $1,500 to $2,500.

I had a Rhodes (forgot which version) back around 1991. You could generally get them cheap when owners moved on to DX7's. I put in a Dyno My Piano upgrade. Tinkered on it for maybe a year, and then sold it. Too cumbersome.

For a lark, I sent a reply saying I wanted to buy it a little after midnight and when I woke up he (Dillon) sent a reply at 2:22am saying "it's still available - how soon can you get here?" apparently meaning after 2:22 am... :cautious:

I couldn't locate the address he posted on Google maps/directions so re-loaded the post and... This posting has been flagged for removal.

Once again, if something sounds too good to be true - it probably is.

I hope your big-eye (ceramic?) kitty 'head' is secured to the cab with putty. I played a gig where I set an overpriced glass of scotch on my amp and started the show. 1/2 way through the 1st song it 'gravitated' to the floor ~krash!~ Live & learn...
I set an unopened bottle of water on top of my Grexa 360 for a gig once. Right in the middle of a song, my sound disappeared. I panicked of course, thinking the amp failed. Or maybe a cord. After a lot of scrambling around, I looked at the back of the amp, and there was the water bottle, tangled up in power cords and patch cords, resting on top of the on-off switch for the powered cabinet. (Unlike the original, the reissues have a power switch on the cabinet.) The water bottle had vibrated off the top and fallen down behind the amp, where it landed on the switch and turned off the power. That will never happen again, because nothing except the power conditioner goes on top of the amp ever again.

Speaking of Peaveys, this is $275 on FB Marketplace. It’s got it all: parametric EQ, graphic EQ, (speaker saving)compressor, and look at the patching you can do. And 2 ohm capable.

An old Peavey like that is the next best thing to an ACC stack. For $275, you can't beat it. It takes a crane to move, but that's a small problem and easy to solve.

Skynyrd had all white Peaveys. (Also used by Rossington Collins Band.) Tacky now to some, but cool at the time.

Allen Collins used to have a funny shirt he wore all the time that said, "Who's Rossington?"
I have thought about retolexing my amps with white or some other color of tolex. Just because. I like colors.
