Too bad I can’t find any in the Bass category..Just a little something for the season..Our tree is a little bit music heavy when it comes to ornaments.

I was noodling a bit on my new NR this evening, getting acquainted, and it struck me how comfortable it is. It just sits so well and easily shifts back when I need to reach the first frets. It's a longer reach than other basses, but it doesn't stay glued in one position like my P. Picking Carol Kaye style let's me rest my arm comfortably on the upper part of the body, and access to the higher frets is great. I haven't weighed it, i never do, but it feels quite light compared to the P. Maybe it's because it moves so freely. And the high gloss painted neck doesn't feel sticky at all, even though I tend to prefer satin necks. Still in the honeymoon phase, I suppose, but this looks like a lasting relationship.

Don't tell anybody. It's our little secret in here. If anybody asks, it has terrible neck dive, all kinds of flaws, is only good for one kind of music (pick one, that's good enough), and the headstock has already broken off. None of that's true, of course, but we can't let that out into the rest of the world.

But still can't adapt to anything other than Jazz? That's a serious con, and shows lack of adaptability.

I have found that for some reason many long time rhythm section jazz players usually have a hard time adapting to rock n roll, it's such a completely different style of music, I think probably most of the reason though is a lot of them just don't like it and/or listen to it but the feel is totally different.
