Agree - I had a Pinarello ARCO (rainbow) like the one Alexi Grewal won the '84 Summer Olympics RR in LA.

Canadian Steve Bauer made the mistake leading-out Alexi in the closing kilometers and couldn't counter his well-timed sprint.

What a heartbreaker for Bauer!

Did you send this "candle" to George and Miles? That's not them is it? Miles does have a beard and glasses.

Oh....lighting up that kind of wax candle.

Yeah. That wasn’t the light up I was expecting!

Beard’s been gone for a few months now. Haven’t had wire rims in a few years, though seriously considering going back to them.

What is special about this? It's it an early 60's? The pickup looks like it.

A couple things - it's the 1st of that type of bass made by a guitar world legendary builder for a famous musician who modified it to suite his needs and played it - a lot. Right now, it's someone's investment - as in “collectors item" and that collector assumes it will continue to be worth more as time goes by. Rarified air territory - nobody I know.
