Neither was true, but it would pass for that.and interestingly, him (and Graham) get credited as the first slap/pop cats….
Ha!!!, was at all 6 shows.
3rd row center.
Your cool might be with my sanity.I was cool. I lost it someplace and no one has returned it.
Finally able to participate in Whitebird Wednesday! Here’s my completed VP parts build. And the Yang to its yin. And also a matching cat. View attachment 4940031View attachment 4940032View attachment 4940033

The white one came out very nice!
Creative solution on the bridge too.
Very nice looking basses !
I'm intrigued by how a white TRC on the black bass would complement the whole thing...
I have thought about getting my ACC 360 stack re-tolexed in white in honor of Larry Graham. It would be about the only way I can emulate Larry Graham, because I sure don't slap at this point.Does he own one that's not white?![]()
Doug Rauch was one of the first too. Did it differently as he used the double thumbing technique.
I. hate. you.
O'Hearn on fretless Jazz Bass?

, I'll make matters worse, was also at all 6 shows in '77.Thanks! I've thought about swapping TRCs on them so the black one would have the white border. Finding Epiphone TRC's seems to be a challenge.

I imagine they were all sitting around in the studio when they recorded the last album. Vig was the producer. David Lynch’s name came up. As it often does with a lot of L.A. artists. Someone, probably Vig, said “you know, David has a painting made of flies eyes.” And the frivolity began. They must have had a blast doing that video.
I have a white no-name Thunderbird TRC I won't use that I can send you. It's not classic white, more like egg-shell I guess, so it might match or not. I have to run off to a business meeting, but PM if you're interested, I could probably ship it tomorrow.

I suspect there’s a few folks on here that might be interested in a detailed run down of the issues you found in replacing the VP two point bridge and how you solved those.Thank you! The bridge was one of the many challenges...the vintage style bridge I had originally ordered, the bridge anchors were too wide for the holes, and I didn't want to drill them out. I returned the bridge, and got the hipshot 2 post version. I was able to use standard bridge anchors, but the bolts they provided weren't the same thread - which explains the solution there. The other tough one was the control cavity cover - I attempted to create a makeshift one by cutting up an old pickguard. It's not pretty, and pretty misshapen, but it works and my son helped decorate it for me.
….and the punch line is - “Because he can!”
Was waiting for that one.….and the punch line is - “Because he can!”
Those came first!I'd say it counts.![]()
