Is the string spacing narrower with the Hipshot 2 point?Sure thing! So I originally looked for a vintage 2 piece bridge that is standard on the VP. The only one I could find is a vintage style from Philadelphia Luthier Company. I ordered it, and found that the anchors were too big for the original holes in the body. I didn't want to drill out the holes any wider so looked for smaller anchors. I ended up ordering some from StewMac, which while they fit the holes, the screws/bolts did not fit the bridge itself. This is where I abandoned the vintage bridge altogether and looked for a different option. The 2 point hipshot supertone looked like it might work, so I ordered one of evilBay. It fit the anchors I had, but the included bolts didn't. I ended up using the larger flat head bolts from the anchor set. No modifications were needed beyond that. Just a bit of trial and error, and returning stuff. I don't love how the bolts look, and might try to hunt down a cleaner option, but it works so far. I also don't love the knobs on there currently, but they were the only Imperial threaded ones I had laying around.

However, as a cost cutting measure, they are now using large catapults aimed vaguely at the destination city and once the package lands, 'Ground' goes and collects it, hence the transfer. The delays are caused becasue Ground has to search a fairly wide area for packages...

ShrinkageYep, it needs to acclimate for awhile too, think it's gotten cold in transit.......
Cool!It is, slightly. Although it is adjustable with the Hipshot. The other thing to note is that the spacing at the nut is different - I have an aftermarket bone nut on the white bird - which looks to be maybe narrower.
