Thunderbird Club

I am. And I am interested in having less stuff. I don't like lots of stuff, and I can tell when I have too much because I get tired of taking care of it all.
When I'm playing, I don't want anything.
And all the above is why I may have a problem.
I was once rightly accused by a fellow carpenter of not having a very high regard for material things... As I showed up after I was supposed to have left, looking for my 4' level, and also having my small compressor pointed out to me. :D
Well I hope you sort it out satisfactorily. I’m just concerned if you ditch the CP you will regret it, and they don’t seem to be easily replaced these days. Good luck with it mate.

Beauty!!!!

All three are good choices in my book.

Thx :-)

Yellow Wild Cat? ... nah.., that's sooo Geo! ;):D

Inspiring style, I say :-).

badass!… bet’s one heck of an interesting bass to play..

I'll report as soon as I can get my hands on it, likely Sunday. Snow storm going on here, nothing major and certainly no where as menacing as recent West Coast weather, but won't be going out in my luthier's area today.

Oh- I didn't understand... No I'm not selling my CP at all! I'm letting the Peavey head go just because I have more amps than I care to keep around. Amps are like cars at the end of the day, they get me someplace, and for the most part I don't like to keep a pile of them around...
The CP has definitely found its home with me.

Oh, I've got serious chronic potty mouth.
No problem. Granny makes some lye soap that will take stink off a skunk.

Folks are slow on the uptake. Where’s Marshall when you need him. Said TT surprise in black and no one picks it out of the TTT photos. So, here it is in more obvious fashion. Still has the stickers on the pickups and plastic on the PG and swimming pool cover.

And, yes, it fits in the triangular Epi case that came with my CP.
I saw the new strap. Nice.

;) Black looks great. Your going to love the VP. Congrats!

That may be the distortion that was once talked about. I was reading some dated posts and conversations and am not sure when things came out. Grenzler was at the time asking what was wanted in a more aggressive pedal and that may be it. Or, they may have been thinking something more aggressive. But the 4 On The Floor will do distortion just fine--if one wanted it. Maybe not the full on crazy buzzsaw, but it's a good distortion. I'm just using the area of decent breakup and early distortion.

Once again, someone plays most of the demo on a bass most have know idea what it sounds like to demo the tone of something. And slapping? I don't think I've heard a slapper hit an overdrive pedal. Not that it doesn't happen or didn't sound OK, just not normal. I still think a lot of guys just want to show off their fav or often exotic 7.5 string bass or their skills. Just play a normal grove on a P or a J. Rant over!

In total agreement. It might not be as much 'fun' for the demo-er to play a P or J or(preferably)a 'Bird, but at least most people have a fairly good idea what the bass sounds like. Now. Play the same line with different settings on the ________(amp, effect,?)so we can judge that. As I've said b4, I'm "auditioning" the thing-y, not the player.
End similar rant.

PLaza(75).
Sort of interesting side note to that: our full # was PLaza 9-3933. Same number as "The Plaza" restaurant in NYC. We got a lotta calls from Noo Yawkers wanting to make reservations, but forgetting to put in the(correct) area code. IDK whether they were in NYC and dialed 305 + the number, or in Miami and simply f---ed* up.

Andy Field of Mesa, who was the designer at Genz-Benz, and Jeff Genzler co-designed the new pedals. Andy solicited opinions over in the Mesa thread and received some good suggestions.

For in your face distortion, this is a nice, reasonably priced option.

Must...resist...saying...what...I...want...to...say...:speechless::bag:

Second gig on the Epi Embassy tonight. I'm also providing/running the PA, so I may be concentrating mostly on that, plus I'll be using a different amp(R100 instead of R200c). Still, my impression after the first gig-last Saturday-was TBird-y tone for less $$$ and no risk of flying HS.
