Definitely not a Northeast word. It's never come out of my mouth, nor will it ever.“Dang” seems to be a purely US word. Not a word we use here, although there are a bunch of other 4 letter words we do use.
(I think I know where it comes from, we just use the word dang replaces.)
I think (which means nothing), that the Dark Abalone would look pretty good. The dark would connect with the black and the more iridescent parts would stand out nicely.Thx Irv !

I mildly gasped....I have a poll running to help me choose a pg for a Stingray bass and one of the option is the original red tort pg, which I feel looks godawful on the bass' blue finish. Nothing against tort, I have 2 basses with tort pg, I just don't like it on that particular bass. So I'm deciding between white, solid black, pearloid blue, mirror and following a TBer's comment, black pearloid. The poll still puts the red one in 2nd place, just behind a solid black pg... anyhoo.
Back to this one: your comment made me check for pearloid options and found these at the pickguard shop. I'll stick with the black goth pg for now, but it's good to know the options.

Unfortunately you have seemed very happy with the CP BirdIt's local.
The Peavey is still here, and I'm thinking it might be easier to sell the Bird. It's splashy, as Birds tend to be.
I'm not actually trying to have another bass just now. But, lol, it's cool...
Yeah, that was my thought. It was a replacement for people who weren't allowed to say "damn". (Like a lot of kids in the US in the 50s and 60s).
Yes, what is a 4 letter wordLike what?![]()
My Dads Gran operated the local exchange with the hand operated patch panel in the little bush village? they lived in. Bugaldi, between Coonabarabran and the Warrumbungles mountain range. We had a 4 way, then 3. It was cheaper. Single parent and all that. One lady was just down the street and she also liked to talk, or leave the phone off the hook so she could use it later. Had to go down there a few times to tell her we needed to use the phone. When my mom married my non-bio, but real dad when I was finished HS he said that crap has got to go!

I am. And I am interested in having less stuff. I don't like lots of stuff, and I can tell when I have too much because I get tired of taking care of it all.Unfortunately you have seemed very happy with the CP Bird
Beautiful! first time I see that model….would love to try that bass…Hyperbole aside, there are a lot of usable tones available from the rotary switch on the Viking basses.

Dang, darn, heck, shoot. All "gentler" versions of other words usually made up of 4 letters. When I was in H.S. in 61-64, 'damn' would get you sent to the dean's office. What we said amongst ourselves was much stronger. Times have changed. Carlin's "7 Words" are down to ~4.Definitely not a Northeast word. It's never come out of my mouth, nor will it ever.

quick initial physical comparison with the 68 (have not even tuned up the slack for strings yet) is a very close weight balance ratio to the original and a somewhat (not bad) bulkier feel to the body that could be partly due to the lack of belly cut. That said, the neck gets REALLY close..Yes, just a quick comparison to the 2021 Gibson NR
All BaCH's are rare with less than 100 made IIRC, my friend Uwe tells me only 10 light blue ones total.

You mean this?Worth a call or visit maybe. I'm very impressed and didn't expect that to be the case. So far, it does exactly what I had hoped and sounds as good or better than the clips online. It can do distortion, but there are likely a good many other pedals that do that better if distortion and fuzz is the goal. I believe there was discussion of them considering a true distortion/fuzz pedal that was more aggressive. but that hasn't happened and may never come to be. But if you want something sweet and kind of subtle, yet makes a very real difference, it's worth considering.
