Finally!! People have been begging for this version (although typically asking for a Gibson) for years!!
It begs two questions, do the existing classic pros go on sale? If so, should I buy one? OK, I already know the answer to the second...

Maybe. But why then is it just Epiphone making this model instead of Gibson?You bet! Big Brother Henry J is watching us!
Cause honestly, I already liked the Epi T-birds more than the Gibson ones (recent, obviously). Now it'll just be no contest.

Point at me - I have 9 and an upright. Five of the nine are Thunderbirds, and one more is a Thunderbird shaped Precision that's under construction. Our queen and some others probably have me outdone by several orders of magnitude. We are doing this just for you. If you don't have an evil friend to point at when you get caught, it's a problem. We are here to help.
Wouldn't it be funny if Gibson let Epiphone grow so big that Epiphone bought Gibson?

I'm thinking in general, that the Epi's greatly outsell the Gibsons. So might as well direct it to the more easily reached price point of an Epi.
General consensus is they are as good almost as good, or better than the Gibsons anyway.
Which is kind of sad in a way.

The new Embassy they are releasing this summer. With 2 x 2 headstock and elongated upper horn for better balance.
Technically it is a Thunderbird so why not post it here as well ;-)
I did notice the new Epi shows the input jack on the butt-end. I am glad they did that but I'm betting some will want it on the face. And thank God it has more than one color option!!!!
