That new epi tbird looks very promising!

But, I'm stopping in to see if anyone has more deets on the Embassy.

Anyone know if it's neck-thru? Description doesn't mention neck construction, so it makes me think they added bolt-on to the list of things they changed, er, improved.

If it's a bolt on (which wouldn't be my first choice) we might see fender necked "FEmbassy" basses once part-outs start happening on the bay and elsewhere. :)

Your search has ended. This here Thunderbird Club is THE aforementioned knowledge base of the entire planet. We are more knowledged and better organized than Gibson is. Have a question? Someone here has or will get the answer. Or they will point in the right dirrection. Got pictures? Show them Gibby's and Epi's off, we love to see them. Got a 7ender? Keep it. Lol

I've decided to sell the very rare Gibson TB+ Precision pickup I just recently got. Yeah, same old thing with me. I got this feeling like I'd like this sound in my new bird. I really do like it actually, makes my bird sound very much like a P bass with just the P on. I really like my stage basses to should the same as is possible so in the end I need to sell it to buy a regular TB+. I'll sell it for $75 shipped conus or trade for a regular TB+. BTW, this is a 3 wire pick up so it works differently with different pickups.

Your numbers make more sense to me, should be $100 street over the current model unless demand is crazy...IMO:cautious::cautious:

Originals are set neck, not neck through.

I currently have all of my cases in 2 closets. Takes up a LOT of space especially with all of the Gibson and Hamer cases I have. Those cases seem HUGE!! My wife is not happy about that at all. But she almost never has to see the cases so it's not that big a deal.....to me.

This is the wall system I am planning on purchasing. Will allow me to get a lot of mine off the floor and up out of the way and free up floor space. Which will probably mean slowly adding more to the collection :bassist:

These two are about as definitive as you can get, though some of the folks here may be able to help with specifics.
The book is very new and highly recommended!

I hang my basses, never go back to floor stands.

Although mine is a lot more ghetto

Unlike your Epi, the braided cable is grounded to the baseplate/cover on each pickup. In series mode that's a problem.

I think the version I was looking at would be around $200, which would include the longer wall mount and I think I priced it with 10 hangers. The price varies depending on size and finish. Not bad when you consider the cost of a decent floor stand times 10.

Yeah, I finally scrolled down to the pricing. Very reasonable!
