Glad we have that visual now.

It's been a long time since I played through on of those Fenders. Don't remember a thing about them.
It sounds really good, and you can get just about anything out of it.
Maybe that's why you don't remember anything about them, they kinda don't have a 'baked in' sound you have to work around.

I think the bottom on the MK-III is tighter, and it's also loud as hell. Since I could use the bread and don't need to carry the 80 lb head (life is too short to work that hard for simple things), I'm hoping the Peavey makes the grade.
Last time I tested them together it was found, afterwards, that the MK-III wasn't letting the low freqs through. Now it sounds a good deal different. If it carries rehearsal today, we have a winner.
I'm losing either way, I'm also winning either way.

And of course, the Thunderbird CP will be our tester for today.

A lot of the places we play were most definitely not designed for live music, thus a shortage of electrical sockets, so we hafta choose what gets plugged in and what gets eliminated. Also the time factor: we can't set up until ~1 hour b4 downbeat 'cos the band 'space'(not stage or stand)is being used for something else. Such as BINGO or whatever.
nuther genius feature on Fender amps was the extra socket wired parallel in the back..

Despite the neck dive, they’re so comfortable and easy to play.
As a six string, it doesn't dive at all. And it weighs about as much as an acoustic guitar. The pickups sure are aggressive on mine. Keep the volume rolled off, way off, or you get lots of instant crunch.

When I played, I don't recall any women's teams. I find it odd that women want to play such a rough sport. And I am equally mystified by women's MMA. But, if that is what they want to do, that is their choice.

The aftergame kegger is fun for the "singing".

1. Ahem
2. It was always fun to tell people that my dad was a hooker. I was not a hooker; I played wing.
I was a flanker. I got to hit everybody.

Never having played thru either rig and just going on what I’ve seen and heard over the years, my money is on the Fender head, but a different cab. A head like that needs a Mesa Boogie Powerhouse (410+15) cab, or a Bergantino 412 cab.
Well I'm not able to put together the high-end ultimate kind of rig here. There is compromise... Fact is the 810 is the oomph here really, in the wall of 8 speakers in sealed compartments. The Fender will probably have the edge, but if the MK-III delivers, I'm going to sell off the Fender.
If the Fender is a mile or two, obviously better and it makes a difference in the quality of the band mix, then there I'll be.

I'm not betting it's going to do that, but we'll see!
