Thunderbird Club

Bought this for 40 euros. Yes, because of the Bad Monkey craze (when people guitar players find out you can get the BM sound with these too they're up the roof) but mainly because I'm now into testing guitar overdrives as the Line Selector keeps the low end intact.
Surprise suprise, it works too! The "morph" is some sort of voicing for EQ and according to the instruction sheet you can get TS-808 sound with this. I don't know about that but just don't tell any guitar player about it either...:D

Replaced the nut with a pre-slotted TUSQ XL, it fits very well after a little sanding, although I'm unsure about the height as it turned out to be slightly sloped (not as much as the stock nut but enough that wonder if it'll work). It was a good lesson in nut removal and maintenance regardless although I suspect I'll have to give it to a guitar tech and just get a new nut cut from a blank in the end.

For the saddles, I'm not sure mine are particularly tight or what, but I'm having real trouble getting them out to the point that it's starting to warp the screw heads a little. Did you use anything to help ease them out or did they just come off easily?
Right. The pre-cut ones are sloped for right handed application. You want a blank and cut it with the top or high side of the slope on the bridge side of the slot. You could call Graph Tech and ask if they have one cut for lefty applications, but I doubt it.

boost circuit? so it’s active? is that a Badbird bridge?..

Epiphone two point and tailpiece. Good to see someone at Gibson understanding the possibility of using these parts on a Gibson USA made bass.
